CAMERON & CO, the Wellington-based independent investment bank, is marking its 10th anniversary with a name change and a second ranking in a mergers and acquisitions survey.
The company was changing its name to Cameron Partners to reflect the depth of its team, said Rob Cameron, who started the firm with Ian Dixon. It now has four senior partners and 16 employees.
The company has risen to rank second to First NZ Capital on league tables compiled by Thomson Financial for the third quarter of this year.
It specialises in advice and does not have its own balance sheet from which to provide funding. Mandates this year included adviser to a consortium led by Rayonier NZ and RREEF Infrastructure on the acquisition of forests from Carter Holt Harvey, adviser and lead manager for Zespri International's capital structure review, and adviser to Carter Holt Harvey's independent directors on the takeover offer from Rank Group.
